America, A Dreamscape Narrative

Once upon a time there was a man who wasn’t too old, but he wasn’t young either. When he was born there was a lot of strife and his survival was questionable. Once he started to grow up a really big kid in the neighborhood decided to take his bicycle and lunch money. Well he didn’t like that too much so he punched that neighborhood big guy in the belly. Ye, he also got a bloody nose, but he got to keep his bicycle and lunch money. In this time people lived many more years than we do today, so after about a hundred years had gone by he grew considerably.

By then the big neighbor kid who tried to take his lunch money got in a scuffle with an even bigger kid on the other side of town. He was having an awful time and took a good whooping. Well he came back to the neighborhood looking for a little help. Yep, that little scrawny kid from a hundred and fifty years ago rolled his sleeves up and came out of the gate ready to do some scraping. He did some stomping and he took a stomping, but eventually he and the neighbor kid won the day and it made him grow even bigger and stronger. Now he was starting to look like a giant.

Well something real bad happened while him and the neighbor were duking it out with the kid from the other side of town. Everybody started getting real sick and dying. It started over there on the other side of town, but it eventually spread throughout the world. People were dying left and right, here and there. It was a terrible thing, like the world was coming to an end. Well eventually the sickness ended and you know what, after the sickness he got even bigger. What is really amazing is that the scrawny kid kept growing until he was the biggest person in the whole wide world.

Then when he was almost 250 years old another terrible sickness came and everybody held their breath to see if he could survive this illness and if so, would he continue to grow, or would he become a shriveled up old man.
